hi. i’m mayo.
I am a Japanese Calligraphy instructor based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My teaching is focused on writing Japanese and Chinese through a solid understanding of theory.
I established my studio in 2003 and have taught many students of all ages and ability levels. In 2016, I moved to Japan and enrolled in the Tankai School of Calligraphy, where I studied for two years. Since then, my work has toured in exhibits across Japan.
